Timothy has more than 35 years of experience in the field of music. He started playing drums since he was four years old. In 2000, Timothy received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Hartwick College and moved to New York City. As a freelance and session musician, he performed and recorded at many of New York’s finest concert venues and studios, including The Hard Rock Café, Hit Factory, Knitting Factory and the iconic CBGB. Outside the stage and studio, Timothy shared his experience and knowledge of music with students of the Mike Risko Music School in Ossining, New York.

In 2005, Timothy expanded his musical horizons and became music director at Cardinal Hayes High School, a well-­established parochial school in the South Bronx. During his tenure at Hayes, Timothy received his Masters of Arts in Teaching, Music concentration, from the City University of New York at Lehman College.

In 2010, Timothy accepted the band director position at John Jay Middle School, part of the Katonah/Lewisboro School District in Westchester County, New York.

A lifelong learner, Timothy has successfully completed courses at some of the world’s most prestigious music institutions. At The Juilliard School in New York City, Timothy studied orchestral conducting under the direction of Maestro Vincent La Selva. In Boston, he studied jazz guitar at New England Conservatory with Jamie Stewardson, and Latin drum set with Alberto Netto at Berklee College of Music.

Timothy is an avid concertgoer and enjoys participating in many music organisations including Windworkz: The Big Band, Philharmonic Winds and the Tanglin Community Center Jazz/Blues Sessions.
