Lydia completed her Degree of Art in Fine Art (Painting) with Distinction in 1997 and received her Master of Art in Fine Art (Painting) in 2004 from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

She has taught in leading educational institutes including LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and local polytechnics. Subjects in which she has taught and crafted include New Media Installation Art, Creative Concept Development, Visual Design, History of Media and Arts, Arts Criticism and Analysis, Film Studies and Art Theory.

With more than 15 years of arts education experience, Lydia has worked with a wide range of art students and hopes to continue her work contributing to the vibrant growth and creative development of Singapore's young artists today.

A practicing visual artist, she has exhibited both locally and abroad, participating in various group shows and was awarded the Honorable Mention Recipient title in the 2011 France Singapore New Generation art exhibition.
